Margaret isCLEW Journalisn Network ambassador for Ireland and the United Kingdom. She is an Irish freelance journalist with a particular interest in environment, science and human rights. She writes for The Irish Times and has also contributed to BBC, France 24, India Today and The Sunday Telegraph, among others. Margaret was formerly Foreign Editor and China correspondent at RTE, Ireland’s public service broadcaster. Margaret has reported from more than 30 countries, and has covered environmental and energy issues in China, Germany, Ireland, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. In a previous life she was also a press officer with Greenpeace. She has an MA in Journalism from Dublin City University and an MA in Travel and Nature Writing from Bath Spa University.
