BASF is one of the world’s largest chemical companies. Headquartered in Ludwigshafen, in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, BASF produces a wide range of plastics and chemicals, such as industrial gases, petrochemicals, solvents, and herbicides. It is the parent company of Wintershall Holding AG, a German crude oil and natural gas producer.
