Its members who supply around 7 million customers in Germany, work towards turning the energy transition into a success story, the BNE website states. The BNE is committed to fair conditions for electricity and gas suppliers, a smart grid infrastructure and a flexible electricity market design that can incorporate renewable energies. It advocates neutral grids where generation, sales and grid operation are kept separate. It further advocates high transparancy standards for grid operation.
