The German Development Institute (DIE - Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik) is a German think tank specialising in global development and international cooperation, located in Bonn. DIE’s work is based on the interplay between research, policy advice and training. The institute advises ministries, governments and political institutions and delivers its opinion on current political issues in the form of frequent publications. Shareholders of the institute are the Federal Republic of Germany (75%) and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (25%).
