EWI - Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne

Energiewirtschaftliches Institut an der Universität zu Köln

The EWI produces scientific studies on energy economics for public (federal and state government) and private clients (e.g. energy suppliers, municipal utilities). It currently focuses on topics such as the European energy mix and the European electricity and gas industry.
The EWI is supported by the University of Cologne and a group of over 40 organisations and companies (Society of Benefactors). It is supported financially by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the utility and grid operators E.ON and RWE.
