EWN Energiewerke Nord GmbH

Energiewerke Nord (EWN) group decommissions and dismantles nuclear power stations in Greifswald, Rheinsberg, Jülich and Karlsruhe and operates interim storage facilities. The German government assigned EWN to manage the final disposal of all radioactive waste from the public sector. The only shareholder of the EWN is the Federal Ministry of Finance. EWN has also won contracts for other decommissioning and disposal projects in Germany and abroad (Murmansk).
