The Left party (Levica, Slovenia)

Eco-socialist and democratic socialist political party, established in 2017 through the merger of the Party for Sustainable Development of Slovenia (TRS) and the Initiative for Democratic Socialism (IDS). Successor of the left-wing United Left electoral alliance. In October 2020, The Left joined other center-left opposition parties in forming the Constitutional Arch Coalition (Koalicija Ustavnega Loka - KUL), an initiative promoted by Slovenian economist Jože P. Damijan aimed at forming an alternative government by uniting the centre-left opposition parties.
