The Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) is an independent public institution, monitors regulated markets to make sure they function properly and comply with anti-trust regulation. It can comment on competition policy and economic development within the following sectors: electronic communications and audio-visual communication; electricity, natural gas and renewable energy; postal sector, airport tariffs and railway sector.
