Giacomo Santangelo

Giacomo joined ICLEI’s Governance Innovation team in October 2023, where he focuses on the implementation of urban sustainability management practices in city administrations. He is currently working on the Intelligent Cities Challenge, supporting cities in implementing Local Green Deals – collaboration agreements with key local stakeholders (especially businesses) to accelerate sustainability actions. 
Before ICLEI he worked for five years for CDP Europe and CDP Worldwide, supporting companies and cities along their climate action journey. There, he was mainly responsible for the design and implementation of different engagement activities (campaigns, virtual and in-person events, 1:1 engagement, etc.) to accelerate science-based emission reductions worldwide.
