The WirtschaftsVereinigung Metalle (WVM) represents the German non-ferrous metal industry. Its members include 665 companies with 108,740 employees. As an umbrella organisation, it represents the common interests of producers and processors of light metals (aluminium, magnesium, etc.), non-ferrous metals (copper, zinc, lead, tin, nickel, etc.) and rare metals (gallium, germanium, etc.). The focus of the WVM's economic policy work is on environmental and climate policy, energy policy, foreign trade policy, SME policy, transport policy, tax policy and press and public relations work.
