Wodny Park Tychy (PL)

Wodny Park Tychy (Aquapark Tychy) is a public spa owned and operated by a municipality-owned utility in the city of Tychy. The aquapark is heated and powered by a CHP plant run on gas produced from the local sewage system. Surplus electricity is fed in to the public grid, powering, among other things, the city's trolley buses. As such, the aquapark is an example of the transformation Silesia is undergoing as a region once dominated by coal.
