The German Energy Agency (Deutsche Energie-Agentur, Dena) is a profit-oriented company working on topics such as energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and intelligent energy systems and is funded by a large number of public and private investors. Its key shareholders are the German state, KfW Bankengruppe, Allianz SE, Deutsche Bank AG and DZ Bank AG.
Dena’s projects aim to promote economic growth while reducing energy consumption. The agency publishes information on buildings, mobility, grids and power storage. It sees itself as an interface between politics and business.
