Reporting across borders: Strengthening climate journalism between India and Germany
At Clean Energy Wire, we have worked closely with journalists around the world to produce not only the stories of today but also the emerging stories shaping tomorrow. Together with The Migration Story, and with support from the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, we are equipping 14 journalists from India and Germany with key contacts, ideas and editorial support to develop joint reporting projects.
India’s advancing green technology sector, expanding green skills base and growing capacity to supply Europe with critical minerals for the energy transition create opportunities for deeper cooperation with Germany and the European Union. At the same time, India sees economic opportunity in advancing its green industrialisation agenda. Our programme will examine both the opportunities and the challenges of this evolving partnership.
The cohort will take part in four days of training focused on green technology, industrial policy, gender dimensions and more. Following the training, the journalists will receive cross-border reporting grants to collaborate on stories for publication in German and Indian media.
You can find the programme for the online training days here.
