Germany's energy transition in the media on 7 October

Die Welt

"Germans worry about their jobs because of energy transition"

Nearly two thirds of Germans are in favour of the energy transition and only ten percent are completely against it, writes Stefan von Borstel in the daily Die Welt, citing a poll by TNS Infratest. However, the support is slightly lower then a year ago and people mistrust the government's handling of the process. The article quotes the head of the union representing workers in the energy and mining sector as saying people liked the project of the energy transition but disliked the government's management of it and were worried about their jobs.
