Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende

The Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende (Finance Watch Germany) was founded in 2018 by former Green MP Gerhard Schick with the aim to help creating "a financial industry that works for people and not the other way around." It focusses on tax fraud and tax evasion, debt limits for banks, financial transaction taxes, investor advice, real estate speculation, pension schemes and green and sustainable finance concepts. Mr Schick has been appointed as a member of Germany's Sustainable Finance Advisory Council, which is meant to help the German government enhance the country's credentials in sustainable banking and investing in line with international environmental and social development targets.
