Klimarådet - independent climate expert body

The Danish Council on Climate Change is an independent body of experts, which advises on how the transition to a low-carbon society can be done in a cost-effective manner in order for Denmark to obtain very low greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining welfare and development. The Council was established as a result of the Danish Climate Change Act. It has six members and a chairman, who are all appointed for a four-year term by the incumbent minister of climate and energy.
