DEBRIV - Federal German Association for Brown Coal

The German brown coal industry association (Der Deutsche Braunkohlen-Industrie-Verein e.V., DEBRIV) is the federal German association of all lignite producing companies and their affiliated organisations. DEBRIV includes all german cooperations involved in the exploitation of lignite as well as those who are engaged in the restoration of regions where brown coal has been exploited in the past (especially Eastern Germany). It also wants to advance the scientific development of the brown coal industry.
