Department of Energy Technology at Aalborg University

At AAU Energy, more than 400 experts are involved in research that relates directly to the energy agenda. The department focuses on developing non-fossil energy sources, and improving the efficiency of energy consumption and the security and stability of power supply. The use of energy technologies in an overall energy system is the focus of AAU's leading research on energy planning – i.e. how today's energy systems (at the local, national or European level) can move toward lower, cleaner energy consumption in the future.
