The Frnech Ecological Realities and Energy Mix Study Circle (Cercle d’Étude Réalités Écologiques et Mix Énergétique - Cérémé) is a privately-funded think tank that says it strives to advance the debate on France's energy policy with objective analyses that are independent of any financial interests and free of any prejudices. Cérémé says it uses comparative studies of different energies, based on the main criterion of reducing CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases and takes into account the true costs of each energy source, security of supply for consumers, the stability of electricity networks, national independence and the overall impact on the environment and on society.
