FENES is a research center for power networks and energy storage, located at the college of technology in Regensburg (OTH - Ostbayerische technische Hochschule). It focuses its research on grid technology and energy storage systems (various technologies, for example power-to-gas). It is managed by professors Oliver Brückl and Michael Sterner.
