French National Assembly

Lower house of the bicameral French Parliament, the upper house being the Senate. The assembly’s legislators are the “députés”.  Together with the Senate, it forms the national legislative power whose mission is to enact laws and control the government. Hosts several committees, including a Standing Committee on Sustainable Development (Commission permanente sur le développement durable) that works and publishes reports on the ecological transition, energy, climate, etc.
