The GIZ is Germany's main agency for international cooperation and development. Its work includes areas such as economic development, employment promotion, energy and environment, peace and security. The GIZ provide services to the German government where its main commissioning party is the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) but also to EU institutions, the UN, the private sector, civil society actors and researchers.
