Markus Janser has worked in the IAB's research department ‘Regional Labour Markets’ since 2013. He is also PhD student at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg (Chair of Sociology, especially Labor Market Research and Regional Research). He works on projects about the labor market impacts of environmental and climate protection, occupational effects of technological change and about the spatial distribution of labor market processes (e.g. in the context of migration). Prior to that, he worked nine years in IAB's research management department and further has working experience in the consulting as well as in the public services sector.
