Left Party

Die Linke

The Left Party currently makes up part of the opposition in the German federal parliament. They advocate decentralised energy production and distribution and a 100 percent renewable energy sector by 2050. Costs of the energy transition should be distributed broadly to relieve households. Grids and utilities should become public enterprises and electricity as a common good should not be traded on the exchange or used to make profits.
