Dr. Michael Schlesinger, Volkswirt (graduate economist), has been in charge of the Economy, Society and State business unit at Prognos since 1998. After working in the federal Finance Ministry of Lower Saxony and on the staff of the German Council of Economic Advisors, he joined Prognos AG in Basel in 1991. From 1995 to 1997, he worked on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (German Corporation for Technical Co-operation, GTZ) as an economic policy adviser in China. His consulting activities focus on energy and climate protection policy, as well as the energy industry.
As a leading expert for topics of the future that impact on society, Prognos has been supporting and advising decision makers in political organisations, business and public since 1959.
