Weltenergierat

The World Energy Council (in Germany "Weltenergierat") is a network "of leaders and practitioners promoting an affordable, stable and environmentally sensitive energy system for the greatest benefit of all". It has over 3000 member organisations in 90 countries and seeks to inform energy strategy by hosting events, publishing studies and facilitating policy dialogue.
The German Member Committee of the World Energy Council, based in Berlin, is headed by Uwe Franke who is former CEO of BP Europe.
