Mwelwa is an illustrator, artist and founder of Foresight Comics. Combining a passion for climate change and award-winning drawing skills, Mwelwa recently released ‘The Fifth Element’, a superhero comic devoted to saving the climate.
In 2018, Mwelwa joined the CLEW team in Berlin on the Horst-Köhler-Journalism-Grant of the International Journalism Programme (IJP). Examples of his work for CLEW can be found here, here and here.
Mwelwa is also involved in the international project Waste Matters, an initiative that seeks to raise awareness of waste dumping globally. It brings together artists from across Africa and Europe. Among other things, project participants will create an educational card game on the issue.
