The negative view of Germany’s energy transition that includes a phase-out of nuclear power held by many US observers is unwarranted and should be replaced with a more introspective approach by critics, Michael Barnard writes in an op-ed for Clean Technica. “According to nuclear advocates (…), the USA is green and Germany is black and sooty,” Barnard writes, adding that this assessment hardly survives close scrutiny as many of the arguments of proponents of the US approach cherry-pick facts that suit their narrative.
