Coal mining company tears down protected church despite protests

klimaretter.info

Protestors temporarily interrupted German energy company RWE’s demolition of a protected church in the town of Immerath in western German state North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Manfred Kriener writes on klimaretter.info. RWE later resumed the demolition, in order to make way for the lignite mine Garzweiler.
